HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN TO PRACTICE MINDFULNESS MEDITATION?
An introductory session or two can be very supportive to someone struggling with, or wishing to invigorate their practice.
Many people with little or no experience with mindfulness meditation find that they have been able to establish some level of regular practice within 6 weeks with the support of a class or teacher.
CAN'T I JUST USE AN APP OR READ A BOOK?
Absolutely! However, many people tell me that they have not been able to sustain a regular practice or are not noticing significant benefits and are searching for more support and structure. As with many things in life, when we attempt to create a new skill we may encounter challenges and obstacles. Working with an experienced and qualified instructor can be very helpful and allow you achieve the results you want within a reasonable time frame.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
The most affordable option is to participate in the MARC UCLA MAPs class series. These are only $200 for 6 sessions with a discounted rate of $165 for full time students, seniors, and UCLA staff.
